It is to be noted that Mandela spent around 27 years in the prisons of South Africa before emerging to lead the nation out of decades of apartheid rule.

According to various reports, Donald Trump has been trying to paint himself as the victim of political persecution as the 2024 presidential elections are around the corner.

Indictments Faced by Donald Trump

Some of the serious accusations against him are about how he handled secret information and tried to change the 2020 election results. Trump has been going to court in New York for a fraud case, where a judge has said he and his sons did something wrong.

The former president recently said that he’s ready to do whatever it takes, even go to jail, to help our country become a democracy again. He’s also comparing himself to a famous activist who won the Nobel Peace Prize for fighting against apartheid.

Rematch between Donald Trump and Joe Biden

Former President Trump gears up to contest with Joe Biden in upcoming general elections. During the recent campaign speech on Monday, Trump dedicated a large portion to addressing the conflict between Israel and Hamas. He criticized Biden and stated that the Americans are not safe under his administration.

Further, he stated that he wanted to “build a shield around the US” and called for the United States to build a missile defense system like the Iron Dome of Israel.

During the campaign speech, Trump stated that if Americans vote for Biden in 2024, then it would be “a vote to turn the United States into a hotbed of jihadists and make our cities into dumping grounds very much resembling the Gaza Strip.”
