In addition to this, she outlined that the size of ticks can also vary. She highlighted that the size could range from a small ball point of a pen, causing bigger damage – leading to concerns like Lyme disease.

While addressing the concern linked to Lyme disease, the Health Commissioner from Jefferson County – Andrew Henry, highlighted that the cases and problems linked to the disease have been witnessed several times in Ohio.

She mentioned, “Lyme Disease is very common in Ohio. It has become very common over the last few years as we have started to see less severe winter times. With that mild weather in the wintertime, spring starts earlier.”

Henry further stated that the symptoms of the disease can also vary; he further cited, “Symptoms are going to be fever, joint pain, and rash.”
