According to the details shared by the authority of Jordan, the nation was preparing to host a four-way summit, which would have emphasized the assistance that should be presented to Gaza in the midst of a humanitarian catastrophe. One of the important topics was to tamp down the conflict between Israel and Hamas – the Palestinian-aided group.

Why did the Jordanian authority cancel the Summit?

The Summit was canceled by the authorities of Jordan and other participants following a tragic attack on the Gaza hospital, which took the lives of hundreds of people. The authorities of Israel and Palestine have started blaming each other for the attack.

The Prime Minister of Israel has blamed the Islamic Jihad militant group for the attack. He mentioned that the hospital blast was the result of a failed missile mission by the group.

However, Abdullah blamed the authorities of Israel and stated that the blast was because of an air raid from the Defense Forces of Israel. The attack has killed about 500 Palestinians, and Abdullah has called the attack a “shame on humanity,” according to Reuters.

A large audience gathered in front of the Embassy also urged the government to scrap the peace treaty with Israel.

Biden’s support to Israel

On Wednesday, President Biden landed in Tel Aviv. The motive behind this visit was to show firm support towards Israel, which has been giving a fight-back to the terrorist group – Hamas, which surprisingly attacked the country on October 7.

Post reaching, US President Biden was supposed to meet the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu. During the meeting, the leaders discussed the need for Tel Aviv to defend itself. In addition to this, Biden also assured that the United States will continue its support to the Jewish nation.

In addition to this, Biden also mentioned that it seems like the attack at al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza was carried out by the other team, not Israel.
